Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak welcomed the King upon His Majesty's arrival at the Perdana Putra Building. â" Bernama picPUTRAJAYA, Feb 5 â" The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Muhammad V, today visited the Prime Ministerâs Department, the first government entity His Majesty has visited since ascending the throne last year.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak welcomed the King upon His Majestyâs arrival at the Perdana Putr a Building.
The Prime Ministerâs Department houses the Prime Ministerâs Office and several agencies.
Also on hand to welcome His Majesty were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the Ministers in the Prime Ministerâs Department and the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Ali Hamsa.
Sultan Muhammad V ascended the throne as the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong on April 24, 2017.
After arriving at the Prime Ministerâs Department, the King proceeded to the fifth level to sign the Visitorsâ Book.
His Majesty then gave an audience to Najib for about 20 minutes at the Prime Ministerâs Office.
Then, Sultan Muhammad V went to the Perdana Meeting Room at the third level to attend a closed-door briefing on the Prime Ministerâs Department.
