Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak welcomed the King upon His Majesty’s arrival at the Perdana Putr a Building.

The Prime Minister’s Department houses the Prime Minister’s Office and several agencies.

Also on hand to welcome His Majesty were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the Ministers in the Prime Minister’s Department and the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Ali Hamsa.

Sultan Muhammad V ascended the throne as the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong on April 24, 2017.

After arriving at the Prime Minister’s Department, the King proceeded to the fifth level to sign the Visitors’ Book.

His Majesty then gave an audience to Najib for about 20 minutes at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Then, Sultan Muhammad V went to the Perdana Meeting Room at the third level to attend a closed-door briefing on the Prime Minister’s Department.

The briefing was given by the senior deputy secretary-general of the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki Ali. â€" Bernama
