Lin Biu, meanwhile, defeated Ding Kuong Hiing of SUPP by a simple majority of 505 votes.
Chong, in assessing the chances of the four, felt that they would not have it easy, especially in retaining Sarikei seat.
On the Sibu seat, he was optimistic for a win if the turnout is good especially from those working outstation.
âThere are locals residing overseas such as those in New Zealand, Singapore and Australia who would be back to vote.
âIf their number is small, then it would be difficult for us to win,â he added.
As for the Lanang seat, he said Lau, wit h her good record in Parliament, deserved to be given the same support as in the last general election.
Paren said he had quit his accounting job in Kuala Lumpur two years ago to concentrate on the elections.
State PKR chairman Baru Bian, meanwhile, said his party would give full support to the four candidates in GE14, adding that PKR would contest two seats â"Kanowit and Mukah â" in the central region.Related NewsSource: Google News
