The 67-year-old popularly known as âRaja Bomohâ or âKing of Shamansâ indicated he may run in both the Perak parliamentary seat of Teluk Intan and the Manjoi state seat, according to a report in the Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club news portal.
He is expected to make an announcement over his candidacy in Ipoh later today.
Among Ibrahimâs antics that made the news locally and internationally were when he conducted a ritual using two coconuts at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang in 2014 purportedly claiming he could locate the whereabouts of the Malaysia Airlines passenger jet that went missing with all 239 people on board and stumped experts worldwide.
More recently, his claim to fame was when he performed another ritual outside the National Institut e of Forensic Medicine at Hospital Kuala Lumpur over the assassination of Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
