KOTA KINABALU: Newly installed Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Jeffrey Kitingan arrived for his first day at the office today at 9.49am.
Upon arrival, he went straight to his office and held a meeting with the ministryâs permanent secretary Ahmad Ag Hashim and the rest of the ministryâs staff.
Jeffrey was appointed on Thursday night by Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Musa Aman, who was sworn in as chief minister on the same night.
However, Jeffrey may not be able to keep his position after the head o f state, Juhar Mahiruddin, swore in Parti Warisan Sabah president Shafie Apdal on Saturday as the chief minister.
The act plunged Sabah into a constitutional crisis, with Musaâs team expected to take the matter to court.
Musa is reportedly on his way to Kuala Lumpur after boarding a Malindo Air flight at 9am today.
In the meantime, Shafie is scheduled to arrive at the chief ministerâs office this morning.
